Costume Inspired

I've noticed that as I've gotten older, I've tended to make my halloween costumes out of clothing pieces that have the potential of being re-worn on other days of the year.  Much like the orange sweater challenge, which was inspired by a sweater purchased for the purpose of becoming a Calvin and Hobbes costume, this purple jacket was a part of my "Doctor and Rose" costume, from Doctor Who a couple years ago.

While the jacket does channel future-exploring-tardis-travelling-adventurer well, it also works pretty brilliantly here on Earth battling cold and falling leaves.

The Outfit and About it:

Forever 21 purple leather jacket.  While I don't wear this jacket extremely often, it does make the perfect pairing for today's outfit.

Forever 21 strapless black lace dress.  This strapless lace dress is the perfect go-to simple black dress, and it is comfortable, cute and versatile.

Grey tights.  I can't quite remember where these were purchased, it was either at Forever 21 or Kohl's.   Either way, they are also quite comfortable and I have chosen to wear them quite a lot lately.

Forever 21 black shoes.  One of my favorite pairs.
