Hello, Lovely!

I'm Lindsayclaire.

Welcome to my fashion and lifestyle blog, The Lovely Red Fox! I currently reside near Chicago, IL, and I was born and raised here.

I studied Photography + Graphic Design in college, and have always been a massive consumer and collector of visual imagery.  It was in college that I first discovered the world of fashion blogs, and quickly fell head over heels in love with them.  I started this little bit of lovely in 2013 during the tail end of completing my degrees at university, and it has stuck with me ever since.  Through all of the twists and turns in life, I always center back to this space.  If that isn't a sign, then I don't know what is!

After school, I worked at various levels in retail fashion merchandising for Forever 21 in the Chicagoland area, eventually getting to grow my own visual team as a Visual Manager in one of the city stores.

My love of fashion and styling only grew during my merchandising career, and I loved being exposed to all the latest trends in the fashion industry.  My style and taste underwent a lot of change and development during my years in fashion retail.  I was really delighted by stepping outside of my comfort zone of what was my style, and being able to merchandise for all different trends in fashion.

In 2017, after a rather large break from the blog, I began my Etsy shop selling vintage home goods online.  I have always loved a good flea market and have always been drawn to interior styling and home decor that tells a unique story.  I realized I had filled up our home with all sorts of fun decor, and now things were getting a bit cramped!  But yet, my thrill for the home goods hunt lived on and could not be squashed!  So what's a girl to do?  How about keep on hunting, but share the fun things I find with others? And so The Lovely Red Fox Vintage Co. was born.

In 2018, I took a leap of faith and left my full time career in merchandising in favor of making my Etsy shop my main focus, as well as spending more time on this blog!  I still work part time in retail, but I'm able to spend a lot more energy on my personal creative pursuits.  Now I spend my days hunting down and selling vintage, tracking business analytics, and getting to use my photography, design, and styling skills.  I'm so happy I've found a way to do (almost!) all of the things that I am passionate about in my daily work.  :)

Lovely in Love

Andrew and I have known each other forever. Literally.  Well, almost literally.  We've known each other since we met in first grade wayyyy back in 1996.  We started dating about a month after we graduated high school in 2008, and proceeded to go to college at the same school, and do other lovey dovey things like publicly message each other on facebook about how we love each other, call each other honey bunch, and other obnoxious things like that.  After college, we decided we still couldn't get enough of each other, so we found an apartment together in Chicagoland area.

In 2016, Andrew proposed while we were on our hiking trip in the Redwoods, at the beautiful Enderts Beach. See some of our engagement photos here and watch our engagement video here!

After three years of planning, eleven years of dating, and twenty-three years of knowing each other,  we got married on July 20th, 2019 nestled in the forest just outside of the Olympic Mountains in Washington state. We are excited for all our future adventures to come. ♥

We also have another family member, our mischievous kitty, Arya!

Thanks for stopping by!
