Springtime Wandering

As our hiking adventure approaches, I can't help but get excited— I love that sense of adventure you get exploring somewhere you've never been.  Even more so when it's in a forest somewhere; I love the thrill of following a path just to see where it goes, not really knowing what's next.  It's that small part of you that is a little bit scared of wandering into the unknown, finding something unexpected, the same part that keeps you moving forward on that path, wanting to see what wonders are ahead.

Over the weekend we went to explore a little bit of nature nestled within our urban playground of the big city.  This is just a small precursor to the adventure we'll find in the Redwoods, but it definitely was a good warm up for us I think.   Here's to moss covered rocks and endless paths through flowers.
