Magic in the Mundane

The world has been feeling like a very strange place lately, and some days are better than others in my little corner of the world.

But I've been trying to cultivate as much creativity as I can to lift my own spirits and hopefully spread a little bit of joy to others as well.  I've been trying more and more to have some fun with adding a touch of magic to my art, not only to try to lift spirits, but because I believe that life needs a little bit of magic on a normal day!

When I was younger, one of my favorite books was A Crack in the Line.  It dealt with the fragile membrane between multiple different realities — essentially an offshoot of many different ways history could have gone, all bleeding into one another.

Now, I've always been interested in fantastical, surrealist art, so I like to imagine little membranes in our world where maybe a little magic seeps in.

Maybe things are a little whimsical or not how you would expect.

Maybe there could be magic in the mundane.
