With the prospect of summer on the horizon, I have been overwhelmingly in love with fruits lately, and one of my top favorites has been strawberries! I love them on their own, on our morning oats, and blended up in a smoothie bowl, so I thought, how about we make a strawberry cake???
Thankfully, my favorite cake book had the perfect recipe for strawberry cake and a strawberry buttercream. Andrew and I had a ball whipping this one up, (quite literally) and when we were done we decided to take it to the park and have a cake picnic! What a lovely and fun summertime treat!
