It's funny how a large body of water can make me feel at peace. There's something relaxing about the crash of the waves on the rocks, and the wide open space void of humans (other than boats) that feels like an escape from the everyday. I live pretty close to the water but I often get wrapped up in the day to day and don't come to visit enough. The days that I come out to the rocks with a bottle of coca cola and a sandwich for lunch are the best. I just take my lunch and sit, watching the waves and feeling the breeze run through my hair.
