Costumes of Days Past

In light of Halloween being tomorrow, I thought I'd share with you some of my favorite costumes from over the years.  Most were put together pretty quickly, but they were all fun!

Laundry Basket

Materials: old laundry basket, scissors, pj top, leggings, random pieces of laundry, static cling sheet box, and fabric belt.

How to:

1. Cut a hole in the bottom of the laundry basket (but not too big, or the laundry will fall out!

2. Wearing the pj top and leggings, climb into the laundry basket.  Once inside, fill with miscellaneous laundry and box of static clings.

3. Style a funky piece of fabric in your hair.

I tend to lean towards practicality when it comes to halloween costumes.  While its fun to create something totally crazy, I enjoy being able to reuse parts of costumes in my wardrobe afterwards, so when I'm shopping for components of a costume, I make sure that I would still enjoy the piece post Halloween.

What are some of your favorite costumes of days past?
