This week's Throwback Thursday is one that is very important to me. These photos came from a portion of my senior thesis work in photography, and this particular set marked the epiphany of the cognarium. The word "cognarium" is a term that I came up with that means a fabricated mental space. I created a physical manifestation of this 'Cognarium' in a cupboard space of my house, and that is where I took these images.
The Cognarium was also an extension of my Lovely Red Fox milinery, as it was a product of the style and ideology behind my hats. The cognarium provided a world in which my hats could exist. Similarly, the fashion styling for this shoot reflects a style and mood of the cognarium as well.
The Outfit and About it:
Forever 21 polka dot shirt. I always love a good 3/4 length sleeve shirt, and this one is all the better due to the polka dots and mustard color.Forever 21 high waisted shorts. These are way too short to really wear as shorts most of the time, but they do work as great bloomers under most of the dresses I wear regularly.
Simply Vera grey tights. A great staple in a wardrobe consisting of many dresses. Sometimes grey can add the perfect contrast to a mostly black outfit.
Forever 21 bird necklace. A cute little locket necklace that is perfect for storing a few tic tacs!
