Valentines Outfit Inspirations

With February fast approaching, I've been contemplating some festive outfits for the valentine's season, both for my everyday wear and for celebrating on the 14th!  I've found so many fun pieces out there, that I thought I'd put together some fun outfit ideas with links in case anybody is looking for a fun outfit, or wants to see pairing suggestions for some of the great trends that are out there right now.  There are a lot of favorites of mine in these outfit inspirations, and I hope you enjoy!
Shein Back Twist Sweater  |  Francesca's Metallic Purse  |  Modcloth Heart Earrings  |
Modcloth Red Shoes  |  Shein Velvet Skirt  |  Youvimi Bunny Beret

Outfit #1:

I've seen a number of these knot back sweaters out there lately, and they are so cute on!  For this outfit I wanted a touch of shimmer (enter the silver skirt and metallic purse), and a classic pop of red with the earrings and shoes.  This is a fully balanced but also complex look that I love.

Francesca's Bracelet  |  Modcloth Red Dress  |  Modcloth Art Deco Earrings  |
Loly in the Sky Cat Flats  |  Modcloth Speckle Coat

Outfit #2:

If you want to go a little more classic, opt for this fun look.  With a simple gold bracelet and fun art deco earrings, you get a pop of gold, and then balance with this retro silhouette dress from Modcloth, and a beautiful fluffy coat.  The flats included in this look are one of my favorite brands.  Loly in the Sky makes hand made flats that are super cushion-y and beautiful to boot!  I swear by them.

Modcloth Shimmer Skirt  |  Modcloth Velvet Heels  |  Youvimi Beret  |
Modcloth Robot Necklace  |  Shein Shaggy Sweater

 Outfit #3:

The third look is super cutesy, and takes more of a lavender spin for the valentine's season.  This outfit is full of texture without having too many prints, and features a shaggy cropped sweater and shimmery A line skirt, paired with a rabbit fur beret, crushed velvet heels and a robot necklace.
Modcloth Sweater Dress  |  Francesca's Tortoiseshell Earrings  |  Forever 21 Metallic Shag Cardigan  |
Francesca's Coin Necklace  |  Modcloth Black Bootie Heels

Outfit #4:

This outfit goes a little bit more minimal, but still has some fun details.  We've got some minimal pieces like the layered coin necklace, black booties and grey sweater dress that can be some great classic staples.  Then we add in a touch of whimsy with the black shimmer jacket and tortoiseshell drop earrings.  These pieces add an extra touch to make the outfit feel festive for the holiday.

Shein Eyelet Blouse  |  Modcloth Red Skirt  |  Modcloth Tan Flats  |
Modcloth Denim Jacket  |  Modcloth House Earrings

 Outfit #5:

If you're into classic silhouettes and bold color blocking this outfit is for you.  Here we've combined the dressed up with casual by layering a denim jacket with a white ruffle blouse, and by choosing a brown flat for footwear.  This outfit is still dressy enough for a dinner out, but still casual enough for a lunch date or coffee.  Throw in the bright red statement skirt and you've got a great fun loving valentines outfit.  My favorite touch of this look is the house earrings that incorporate all the colors from the outfit!  I can totally see Zooey Deschanel rocking this number.
Target Beaded Bag  |  Modcloth Tulle Skirt  |  Modcloth Camel Heels  |
Shein Heart Knit Sweater  |  Youvimi Deer Beret

Outfit #6:

The sixth and final outfit is one of my faves!  I've been really loving the patterned knits I'm seeing online this year, so I knew when I saw this heart elbow sweater I needed one of these looks to be built around it.   A great staple to balance lots of sweaters with for winter is the classic tulle skirt like this one from Modcloth.   Then, because it is winter and valentine's day is supposed to bring some warmth to all this cold weather business, I wanted to warm up the look with caramel and gold accessories like these great caramel heels and this beaded bag from Target.  Last but certainly not least, I wanted to top this outfit off with a really fun beret from a shop I recently discovered through the blogger Jaglever.  She is one of my new favorites, and finding this shop through her was a dream!  There are so many cute berets and other hats from Youvimi that I am so interested in, and this deer beret is definitely on the list!

Well folks, that's all I've got for now on my Valentine's Day outfit inspo list, and I hope you've enjoyed!

Until Next Time,
