Well, hello October!
As is customary here in the midwest, this week as we plunge into fall we've gone from 85 degrees and thunderstorming and nose-dived 20+ degrees overnight to 57 degrees and damp! Still, I'm getting excited seeing the tips of leaves starting to turn color and bright yellow hues popping up and dotting the trees here and there along the highways. I'm thinking it will only be a week or so till we get full blown colorama around here :).
And with the colorama comes pumpkins and mums, and fall, oh my!
So I'm kicking off fall on here with an early fall look with a blue plaid dress that's one of my favorites, as well as a hint of fall decor out on our balcony.
I picked up this dress last summer at Urban Outfitters from their clearance section for about $20, and it quickly became one of my favorites. It transitions seasons really well for summer and fall and it's also super lightweight and comfortable. Blue is one of my favorite colors for clothing because it is so versatile — it can easily go from being a statement color and taking front stage, to being a neutral and setting groundwork for a great bright pop color to step in and create some contrast!
