PNWonderland May 2019: Cannon Beach, OR

I chose to blog this one separately because it was kind of a mini-trip itself within our pnw adventure as a whole.  This day at Cannon Beach was so perfect and peaceful.

For your info, Cannon Beach is a 1.5 hour drive from the City of Portland, so it is the perfect day trip if you're visiting Portland for a bit.   The drive out was hilly and wind-y, but it was also incredibly beautiful.

We got there just as the tides were coming in, so we missed the tidepools with all their interesting sealife, but Haystack rock was still a magnificent wonder to us.  The sun seemed to glow from all sides of the rock, creating this dream-like weather experience for us that day.

After a few hours at the beach, we drove up the road a bit to Ecola State Park, that provides a gorgeous viewpoint overlook of both Cannon and Crescent Beaches.  There was something so perfect feeling to this whole day ♥
