Our Eastcoast Adventure, part 2

Bar Harbor

On the third day of our trip we took to the sea and embarked upon a lighthouse tour.  Not only did we see a bunch of awesome looking lighthouses, but we also saw some great harbours, lobster buoys, and lobster boats! Since we had done a lot of hiking during this trip already, it was nice to get out on the water and feel the breeze as the boat whipped across the waves.

After the lighthouse tour, we went for a quick, easy hiking path, and then set off for dinner.  As a result of Drew's expert internet skills, we found this great place that does take-out lobsters, called the Travelin' Lobster.  Basically they boil them in a pot of seawater for you and then give you the cooked lobsters and drawn butter, and send you on your merry way.  We chose to take our lobsters and eat them on the beach watching the sunset!

  1. Oh my gosh! Such lovely photos. This looks like a great time. I'd love to visit Maine someday. It's one of my husband's favorite places, but we've never been able to go together!

    1. It was so much fun! I'd definitely recommend Acadia, though I'm sure there's tons of other wonderful areas of Maine! I want to go back again for sure!
