A Sea of Yellow Leaves

Fall is undoubtably one of the most breathtaking seasons.  Often times in my life I've hardly even noticed the changing seasons because I focused solely at tasks at hand — a midterm exam, preparing for a critique, doing laundry.   Operating this blog has given me almost an excuse to stop and appreciate nature.  I don't think I've ever felt the changing leaves of fall as strongly as I have this year, roaming around parks looking for the perfect setting to shoot a blog post.

The enormity of nature, the deep colors, and the vast variety in color, shape, and size of the leaves and the trees is inexhaustible.  I am constantly in awe of something I took a passing glance at just a year ago.  Someone (possibly my good friend tumblr) recently expressed the sentiment to me that in the fall we are enamored with essentially, the end of a life.  For leaves to turn their beautiful colors in the fall, it is the death of them.  They sure do put on a show.

The Outfit and About it:

Forever 21 goldenrod sweater.  I absolutely love this style of sweater.  Also, it doesn't hurt that it boasts two of my favorite colors (blue and yellow), and has little crests on the buttons.  I also feel that it is similar in style to this other sweater I love.

Urban Outfitters blue romper.  I love rompers, and I think they are way more versatile than it would seem.  I like taking the odd item like a romper and working it into an outfit where it seems like less of an oddity.  This outfit is just that: comfortable, stylish and fun.

Old Navy jeggings.  Gotta love 'em.  They pair well with the sweater and pull the whole look together with the boots.

Walmart brown boots.  Perfect for fall!  I definitely want to wear these more.

Carrie's Vintage heart necklace.  I got this from Drew for Christmas a few years back.  I wear it almost every day.
