Winter Throwback Thursday: Winter Through the Years

Personal Style is a thing that is ever evolving.  Possibly never have I noticed these subtle shifts more than as I was sifting through to find images for this post.  My idea was to pull some cute outfits from winter
months of years past.  Because I took some time off in the last two years there wasn't a whole lot to pull from from recent years.  Looking back at some of these pictures I'm really seeing how my style has changed over time.

Aside from obvious things like that my hair has grown 2 feet from the pixie cut I once had, I notice some about how my styling has grown over the years.  I have these images in my head about what I want to feature this season and going into this nostalgia trip with those in mind... it just feels so much different than what I used to do.  I think in some ways sometimes I feel like I am exactly the same person that I was 5 years ago, but really, I'm not.  I'm a different person now, with a different world view, more developed ideals, interests, and yes, fashion styling skills.  I think working in retail fashion,  I loved being able to try every new trend if I liked it, and I didn't like to limit myself to one avenue as it were.  But I'd like to think in the more recent times, that I've refined it a little bit.

I also feel more confident which is a kind of bizzare foreign thing to me in some ways.  I feel more at home and ok with the decisions I've been making, and I care less how other people feel about it if they don't understand it.  I'm happy with my life.  And while I still do things like belittle myself as I'm explaining myself to people, I'm glad knowing that I've been taking the steps towards the life I want.  And the really odd feeling for me in this is... I can see it in these photos.  I can see the worry and the fear in some of the older photos (a lot didn't make it into this post, I think I naturally gravitated away from the ones where I noticed it more).

Regardless, these were some of the cutest outfits that I liked from years' past. Hopefully I will get more outfit photos out in the snow this year despite the cold always making it a bit difficult!!
