A Boat Time

As of late, we've been making a habit of walking most mornings.  Even though we live eight blocks from the lake, we have hardly ever taken advantage of its' proximity.  I think this is partially because the city charges $8 for you to get in, and partly because we've just not pushed ourselves to do it.  Well recently,
I have wanted to make an effort to be more active.   So most days we walk to the beach and do a big loop along the shoreline.

I think one of my favorite parts is when we pass by all of the boats.  There are a bunch of kayaks all lined up near one of the beaches, and they have such a wonderful array of color to them!  Walking so much near the water has me longing to go out on it — my family has always been into boating, but I feel like I haven't done anything out on the water in a very long time.

When I was younger I used to go out on my dad's and grandpa's fishing boat, but I never quite got into the fishing part of it.  I just loved the water. So hopefully this is a part of my life I can get back to: reconnecting with water.  And not only do I enjoy being on the water, I also greatly enjoy nautical themed fashion styles.  I love the bright, bold primary colors, and the horizontal nautical stripes.
