Victorian Charm

I am so lucky to live in a place that has all kinds of interesting architecture about.  I mean, It's not like I live in Europe where you can find castles and all kinds of ancient structures and ruins, but I like being able to find some history in my surroundings even if it's a little bit younger.  I've always liked mixing the old with the new, and juxtaposing new styles with those that have more historical roots.

The Outfit and About it:

Forever 21 pom pom hat.  For some reason this winter I went hat crazy.  Its kind of funny how you see all these people walking around with these giant pom poms on their heads.  I suppose its just a bit of whimsy to add to your winter wonderland.  I wonder who came up with the idea for these happy little poofs.

Forever 21 Military Jacket (old).  I got this jacket many years ago for Xmas and I love it so!  I'm always  up for a great military style jacket with a little bit of victorian and a little bit of marching band mixed in. :)

Forever 21 dress.  love love love.  It came in black as well.  Burgundy seems to be the big color this past season and I am loving it. I was a little hesitant purchasing this because I didn't know what I'd wear under it, but I decided I would just have to figure it out.  I'm glad I did!

Francesca's Necklace.  I love how unique their jewelry is.  My favorite part of this necklace is that it is secured by tying the ribbons together in a bow in the back.

Belt from my mom's closet.  My mother has all the best waist belts hiding in her closet. :)
