Gardens In Winter

We recently took a winter trip out to see the Chicago Botanic Gardens in the winter.  While it was busier than I thought it would be, it did seem like most people were flocking to the indoor orchid show.  While we didn't stick around to experience that, we did visit some of the outdoor gardens and get a good little walk in.
I took pictures of some of my favorite views from our visit, primarily in the Dwarf Conifer Garden and the Japanese Gardens.  These gardens in my opinion, are quite beautiful in the snow and if you get the chance you should definitely pop in to see them!

I've fallen indefinitely in love with pine trees I think...

There are so many different types and they are all so unique in their shape and coloring.  I think I might just want to become some type of conifer expert, I just want to learn everything about them!  One day I hope we can have a bunch of different conifers in our yard... hopefully I will be able to depend on mother nature to keep them alive because most people that know me know I can't keep a plant alive to save my (or it's) life!

Enjoy!
