Ah, summer. The bright, beautiful flowers, the sandy beaches, and the sweltering heat. Though I'm a summer baby (my birthday is on the solstice even!), I don't know that I would claim summer as my favorite season. The heat and also the presence of bees (there were SO many bees in the hydrangeas behind me in these photos) hinder my unconditional love for this season. But, I am reminded that with the summer
brings longer hours. And while it might be hot out, I do love the ability to enjoy the days for more time in the summer.
And of course, we have to love all the fun that summer brings: art fairs, lots of delicious fruit, light layers, and summer barbecuing! Not to mention opportunity to wear one of my favorite tops, this blue gingham lovely from Anthro (at least, I think it is an Anthro brand, I got it as a gift). I love how quintessentially summer this top is, with the primary color gingham print and the tiered peplum detail. It is definitely a go-to in my wardrobe!
