Holiday Outfit Laydowns

Here we are, the holiday season!  The time of festive trees and sparkling lights, and good cheer all around.  I wanted to pull together some great casual looks for the season incorporating some of my favorite staple
pieces and some holiday inspired touches as well!  These might be great for a drink out with friends, or an everyday casual look during the holiday season.

This first look features my favorite Sorel boots I got last year off Amazon — a wonderful buy.  If you haven't worn Sorels and you live in a place where it gets blizzary from time to time (looking at you, Chicago), you should consider the investment.  They aren't cheap, but they hold up incredibly in the snow, sleet and rain.  You will never have soggy socks (my #1 pet peeve) again.  In addition to these plaid friends, I've paired a great embroidered peasant top with a color appropriate skirt for the season!  I love this top, and I honestly could style it into any season, which is great.  But it feels extra festive  in the winter because the embroidery kinda feels snowflake- like.  Top it off with a reindeer clutch and a warm scarf, and you're good to go!

This second look is great for Christmas morning.  The plaid is actually a dress I'm layering under a favorite ugly cute holiday sweater!  The blue in the plaid matches great with the blue in my snowman's scarf, and the slippers will keep your toes warm while making your morning coffee!

This third look is a little more casual and would be great for braving the weather while out running errands.  I love the embroidery on the denim that adds a fun touch, and the raggedy look of this grungy sweater.  And of course we need to keep our ears warm out in the cold, so who could pass up this cute chicken hat?!?

Finally, this last look is a rhapsody in blue.  I'm loving this for an everyday meetup for coffee with friends, or a trip out shopping for gifts for loved ones.  I love this Madewell polka dot sweater paired with a great denim skirt, and a chenille hat for warmth!   Add in this fun llama neck scarf and I'm ready to go!
