Nature really is a wonder.
We watch as it transitions through the year from sunny beaches and flowering branches to colorful leaves and finally to disparate trees and winter wonderlands blanketed with snow.
I'm sure many would say that apart from the first days of snow, winter is probably the least enjoyable season to be out in the woods. We tend to hole up in our houses and pray for warmer, greener days — at least around here in the Midwest!
But I always find something a little bit magical about the desolate winter forest as well. Really, its the bitter cold that is the hardest part to overcome, but there's something to say about the shades of monochrome browns that appear once the trees have shed their leaves.
Anyways, my point is that I still strive to find the magic in the forest during the winter season!
