When I stepped out the door to take these pictures fall hit me with a crisp cool breeze. Suddenly it is indeed fall, never-mind the fact that it was sweltering hot just last week.
I guess this means I'll have to start transitioning into some warmer clothing options, and I can't wait! I've got a bunch of sweaters and long sleeved buddies like this sailor shirt that I've been itching to wear for this blog. There may be a few more summer styles, but for the most part, we're going into fall, friends!
The Outfit and About it:
- Sailor Collar mustard knit shirt, from Dear Creatures. I found this while we were at the Renegade Craft Fair a few weeks ago. It was on the clearance rack, so I got an awesome deal on it. I've been eyeing this designer for a while, so when I found it at a great price at Penelope's in Wicker Park, I was pretty much sold. Also, present me with a nautical themed anything, and my wallet doesn't even stand a chance.
- The shirt is layered over a dress that I got forever ago (like high school forever ago), and I honestly don't even remember where from. Quite possibly a big store like Kohl's or JCPenny. I think it pairs well with the shirt though, and is flowing and simple enough to feel right with the outfit.
- The Happy Toast Pin is from a company called Migration (migrationgoods.com), which I also found at Renegade. I love the toast pin so much, its like a little friend in my jewelry box every day, smiling up at me!
- The Shoes are another Goodwill find, and the brand is xhilaration. I love getting shoes at Goodwill, although I know it's probably not everybody's thing. I've found some really good pairs there for suuuper cheap, and since I'm currently not swimming in all the moneys, I can dig it. What won me over on these was the adorable floral pattern on the inside of them.
- The little band ring is from a 25 cent machine from my childhood.
- The golden cherry necklace is from a little shop in Door County which I don't remember the name of. My grandma got it for me when I was a kid and we were visiting her cabin up there one summer.
That's all the Lovely for now guys!
