Throwback Thursday: Graduation Style

In light of all the graduations happening lately, I thought this would be the perfect time to post a throwback of my graduation style from last year.  Always a fan of fun collars, my initial requirements
for my graduation dress were that it had to be something that was unique and it had to have an interesting collar, as this really is the only part of an outfit that you can see whilst wearing a graduation gown.  I found this awesome blue lace dress with a fun collar and tie almost immediately upon entering Forever 21.  I loved that it almost had a school-ish look to it with the buttoned and cuffed sleeves, and the peter pan collar with tie.  It also just happened to be the perfect blue for my school colors, and matched quite well under my graduation robes.

Being that I went to art school, there were quite a few creative get ups at our ceremony (one girl donned a huge set of flower adorned moose antlers), and my giant feather-topped black beret was far from unusual.  It was actually a tradition in our photo department to wear berets at the Graduation ceremony, and I added the feather for an extra flair. Also featured was our FAA brown tassel.
